Dragons are cool.
Dragonborn should also be cool, and the changes made in Fizzbin’s Treasury of Dragons helped with the breath weapons. Long before that, we brought a few home brew feats to my table as an attempt to bring the cool. They might not be compatible with the One D&D playtest material, but we liked them and I hope you might find some inspiration from them.

Dragon Fear
Prerequisite: Dragonborn
Your heritage is one to be feared.
· Increase your Strength or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
· In addition, you may expend a use of your dragon breath to instead inspire fear. Creatures of your choice within 30 ft who can hear or see you must make a Wisdom Save (DC 8 + Proficiency bonus + Charisma Modifier). Creatures that fail become frightened for 10 rounds. If the creature takes any damage, it can attempt to save again.
Dragon Hide
Prerequisite: Dragonborn
Those scales are for than just show.
· Increase your Constitution or Charisma score by 1, up to a maximum of 20.
· Your scales harden, granting you a +1 bonus to AC while you are wearing light armor or no armor.
· You grow retractable claws that can be extended or retracted as a free action. You may use them to attack as a 1d4 + Strength modifier slashing damage.
Dragon Vision
Prerequisite: Dragonborn or Dragonblood sorcerer
You gain 60 ft Darkvision (if you already have Darkvision, it increases by 30 ft) and advantage on vision and based Perception checks.
Dragon Frenzy
Prerequisite: Dragonborn or Dragonblood sorcerer
When reduced to half your hit points, you gain +1d4 to melee damage rolls.
Dragon Breath, Empowered
Prerequisite: Dragonborn
The damage dice of your dragon breath increase from d6 to d10.
Dragon Breath, Enlarged
Prerequisite: Dragonborn
The area of effect of your dragon breath increases.
· Line 5 x 50 ft
· Cone 25 ft diameter
Dragon Breath, Hurl
Prerequisite: Dragonborn
Instead of projecting your dragon breath as normal, you may instead hurl it as an small burst. The burst is centered on a point within the normal reach of your breath weapon, affecting all targets within a 5 ft radius. Creatures may Save as per the normal dragon breath.
Draconic Wings
Prerequisite: Dragonborn
You were born with or grew small vestigial wings, which have only become larger and stronger. If you are not weary heavy armor or exceeding your carrying capacity, you gain the following benefits:
· As part of your movement, you may glide a distance of half your movement.
· When falling, you may as a reaction slow your descent, automatically reducing the falling damage by half.
· You may achieve true flight at a rate of your regular movement speed for up to a cumulative 10 rounds. You may not use this ability again until after a short or long rest.
