Currently I’m in a D&D 5.24 Dragonlance, working on getting a Blades in the Dark and a Pirate BorgWestern Marches game up and running again about once a month, a highly home brew D&D 5e game, playing in a Traveller game, and currently negotiating another game as a break from the Scum & Villainy game. The big challenge for the new year like most years is time. Thus, I’m looking at focusing more on one shots to explore some systems and try to get more players involved and maybe even empower a few to GM games of their own.

Keep Playing 2+ Non D&D Games

Pretty simple and straightforward. I’ve got a couple of games on the go. There has been a pretty big time break for the Blades and two players have got school commitments so it’s going to be a challenge so a more drop in style might replace it.

Run 2+ Non D&D Games for One Shots

I’ve got a wish list, though no telling what opportunities might appear as the year goes by.

  • Shadowdark
  • Achtung Cthulhu! 2d20
  • Powered by the Apocalypse (Monster of the Week, Root, Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Jinkies, Brindlewood Bay)
  • Dragonbane

Create Content for Selling

Still going to try to create three things, be they PWYW or for maybe a couple of bucks. I managed two in 2025 and have the rough draft for two more that missed the deadline but still a good start.

Participate in Monthly Challenges & Blog Posting

I did pretty well at the beginning of the year but really fell off at the end for blogs. I participated in two monthly challenges, did more journal entries than actual blog posts but still did most of Mork-Tober and about halfway through RPG A Day. It got me more focused on writing briefer entries versus extended essays with lots of supplemental materials. I started on weekly reflections on the games of that week and some of the articles I had been reading. I’m going to aim for once a week / three times a month with game related material.

Wish me luck!
